How to Build Your CV
1. You should send us a detailed and up to date CV, containing all the information that a prospective employer would want:-
- Recent career history (up to 15 years)
- Current employment status
- Current and desired salary and benefits
- Sector experience
- IT experience (hardware platforms and software)
- Project experience
- Marital status
- Date of birth
- Contact details: address, home and work 'phone, fax; mobile and email
- Institute memberships
- Professional qualifications (distinguishing those obtained by examination) and dates obtained
- Education - degrees and school certificates
- Extent of willingness to travel or relocate
- Mobility including availability of own car
- Particular skills, such as IT and languages
- Personal interests
2. We strongly recommend you send us a separate page listing the last 6 audit assignments or projects that you have worked on. This gives a flavour of your work and seniority. See summary in sample CV.
4. Don't embellish too much or lie - you will be found out!
PLEASE NOTE: We use your CV, suitably anonymised, to send to employers with our own cover sheet in front. Therefore your CV's layout, substance and spelling are important. Although we strive to correct imperfections in your CV, we cannot improve what is not there. The GIGO principle applies.
